There Is A Sockmonster That Lives In My House is a book in the Stewarthouse Stories Series. This book tells the story of a little girl named Anthonetta who can’t find any mates to her socks. She looks all over her house for the mates, she even looks in the fish tank. She starts to wonder if the dryer is the one eating all the mates to her favorite socks, but she just doesn’t believe it would do such a thing as eating all her socks after they all have been cleaned. She starts to believe that there is a sock monster that is following her around taking her socks even when she puts them in her hiding places, but then she notices that it’s not just her socks this monster likes to take. Everyone in the house is affected by the sock monsters desire for socks. She doesn’t believe it’s a bad monster because she never heard it roar and there are things that are a lot scarier, like the moth that lives in her sock drawer. She finally devises a plan to catch the sock monster in the act and take back all her socks, even the ones with the hole in the toes. There Is a Sockmonster That Lives In My House is written in poem format, and is full of fun and adventure.
